Emily Harvey joined Disability Justice in 2014, worked as an attorney at the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights in 2020, and returned to Disability Justice the following year. She has taught a disability rights seminar as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver.
Emily is a co-founder and the board president of LIM359, a nonprofit that provides activities-based support for people with limb loss and limb difference in metro Denver. She also serves as LIM359’s youth camp director. Emily is the author and illustrator of a children’s book series called “The Girl with the Robot Leg.”
Emily enjoys walking, reading, and spending time with her husband, dog, horse, and cats.
