The Client Assistance Program

Disability Justice’s Colorado Client Assistance Program (CAP) helps people who are having issues with the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) or the Colorado Centers for Independent Living (CILs).

FAQs

What does CAP do?

The Client Assistance Program helps Coloradans with disabilities get the services they need from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), Centers for Independent Living (CILs), and other rehabilitation programs. With the information and training we provide, you’ll learn:

  • How to get started with DVR or a CIL
  • What these agencies must do
  • How to advocate for yourself
  • Where to find appropriate rehabilitation programs
  • How to appeal DVR and CIL decisions

If you run into a problem at DVR or a CIL, we’ll work with you to resolve it.

How do I request CAP’s help?

All potential CAP clients must request help by telephone, email, or mail, or through our online intake form. We may need more information to complete the intake process, so please respond to any emails or phone calls as soon as possible.

Does CAP offer walk-in services?

No. Once you request our help, we’ll contact you to provide information, assign an advocate, gather more details.
